UKIM is one of the oldest nation-wide Islamic organisation's in the UK. It was founded in October 1962 on the initiative of a small group of Muslims who used to meet at the East London Mosque. They discussed the need of forming an organization in Britain to convey the message of Islam in the West.
Today, from this small beginning, the UKIM has expanded to about forty-five branches and circles in the UK and around thirty mosques and Madaris. Alum Rock Islamic Centre (otherwise known as Ludlow Road Masjid) is one of these mosques.
ARIC is evolving by providing new obligatory and non-obligatory services to the congregation and wider community. At Alum Rock Islamic Centre we want our brothers and sisters to benefit from this blessed opportunity and become a volunteer. Anyone can volunteer irrespective of your skills, experience or background or how much time you have to give. Whatever time you have available; it will become a massive boost to this developing organisation.
